The main "plot" has always been a joke, and side plots you don't even know they're side plots until you already know because you played enough or read it somewhere.Īs it is now, some things we would consider common sense are still not possible, work in mysterious ways, or just don't. You can still get a lot of quality time out of it, but it's a big pile of empty ♥♥♥♥ tagged as a sandbox - meaning you can do whatever the heck you want, but guidance for absolutely nothing. Like other games out there, it was released in a poorly functional state, with little content, fed by goodwill and teasing of dlc.īasically, id say ES learned NOTHING from the previous games. Split have been "released" as a dlc, no terrans, no boron. X4 is unpolished, and a lot of content has been left out. I know having "Way too much stuff to do/things to buy" is subjective but I think with the Xtended references you kinda get the gist of what I'm saying. I'd like to wait until there is a crazy, overwhelming amount of content since these types of games can literally take over my life and I'd like to have one nice 500-hour experience with WAAAAAy too much stuff to do/things to buy/ships to fly rather than put a bunch of hours in only to have something akin to Xtended come out and make me want to start over again to experience the "Overwhelming Content" version. Was planning to watch and wait and see how this game developed and I figure it's been enough time to see how it's panning out. Also is there an Xtended-type-deal with this one? Was wondering where this game stands in terms of just overall STUFF (weapons, ships, places to explore, etc) compared to X3 with Xtended. I forgot the name but it wasn't Litcube- it was. I played a ton of Terran Conflict and the first X3 with that mod that adds entire new sectors, piles of new ships, etc etc.
